Tiffany Haddish arrested for DUI after falling asleep behind the wheel with car still running

TIFFANY Haddish has been arrested and is facing a DUI charge after allegedly falling asleep behind the wheel of a running car.

The comedian performed at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood on Thursday night for the club's 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.

But Tiffany, 43, was put in handcuffs and arrested just hours after the show.

A spokesman for Beverly Hills Police Department told The U.S. Sun: “Tiffany Haddish is currently being held in custody.

“She was arrested after an investigation for a DUI.

"She is currently being booked in our jail, and will be released later this afternoon.

"She was arrested on Beverly Drive just north of Dayton Way at around 7:20 am this morning.

"We are still investigating so I can’t say if it was drugs or alcohol at this stage.”

The Watch Commander at the BHPD also told The U.S. Sun that a "reporting party" first called local cops at 5:45 am, claiming a driver was "slumped over the wheel of their car on Beverly Drive."

According to TMZ, who first reported the arrest, the car was still running when police arrived on the scene.

The comedian "went peacefully" with cops during her arrest, the outlet shared.

According to her Instagram account, Tiffany was also partying on Wednesday night and complained to fans in a strange video that a Los Angeles club refused to let her in.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

This is the second time that the Girls Trip star has been arrested for a DUI.

Tiffanywas also busted in January 2022 for a similar incident in the Atlanta area.

At the time, Georgia police responded to a call of someone sleeping behind the wheel.

When they arrived on the scene, they discovered Tiffany pulling into a neighborhood.

The comedian was arrested for DUI and improper stopping on a roadway.

According to court records uncovered by TMZ, Tiffany is scheduled to go to trial on December 4 for that case.

SHOCKING ACCUSATIONS

DUI charges aside, Tiffany has had other run-ins with the law.

In August 2022, she and Aries Spears were accused of sexual harassment and abuse.

The lawsuit brought on by the two individuals in question claimed Tiffany and fellow comedian, Aries, of grooming and molesting them when they were 14 years old and six years old.

Her lawyer Andrew Brettler told The U.S. Sun that the claims were "meritless" and that his client "refuses to be shaken down."

"The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action."

However, on September 20, TMZ reported that Jane Doe, who filed suit, had decided to dismiss the complaint.

Jane issued a statement with the outlet saying: "My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us."

At the young age of nine, Tiffany's mother was diagnosed with mental illness after a car accident, which saw the star go into foster care.

After she graduated from high school, Tiffany hit rock bottom as she was homeless and lived in her car for a period of time.

Shortly after got her start in TV, the actress appeared on shows such as That's So RavenMy Name is Earl and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

After guest-starring in several television series, she gained prominence for her role as Nekeisha Williams on the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show.
