Miguel Ernesto Herrera Aguirre is a former Mexican professional footballer and current manager, most recently Liga MX América club. He is often referred to by the nickname Piojo. A former defender, Herrera started his career playing for second tier team Deportivo Neza in 1985, joined Tecos UAG in 1987 and made his Primera División debut in 1988. After a brief stint with Santos Laguna, in 1989, Herrera moved to Atlante and went on to play for the club three times, winning his only league title as a player of the season. 1992–93. He also had a notable time with Toros Neza, having made more than 100 appearances for the club from 1995 to 1999. He retired with Atlante in 2000.
